So, granted, today is not Memorial Day, but this is the day we always celebrate with a BBQ and beer. What fun is it to celebrate it on Monday knowing that the work week is ahead of you. And, YES, as a SAHM, I have a work week as well. So, as always, the BBQ at the rents went just as usual. Burgers, dogs, beer, music, pool (though it was a bit too cold to get in). Nate was pretty good throughout the time we were there. When he got fussy everyone left him alone and let Mike and I handle him. He was, of course, too nosy to nap so we hung for as long as we could then said our goodbye's when he became too much. Because he refused to nap we knew that it would throw him off schedule but I could not have imagined how bad this night would have been. I find it funny when I tell people that Nate is on a schedule and needs to stick with it or else it is hell for everyone involved and they don't believe me. Or they dumb it down to other things and say that its no big deal. Well, if you were here last night, you would know that it is a big deal. My poor kid screamed uncontrollably for hours. It was not fun and as a parent it broke my heart. I can say that I will stick to his schedule regardless of who or what is involved. Last night (and many other nights before when we have tested Nate's limits) is the last that will be like that.
