Back to whatever the ef is going on with me. I went into the new office today for blood work and an ultrasound for a new cycle. The blood work today included prolactin, which is great bc I'm curious to see if the Dostinex is working and also AMH. AMH will check my ovarian reserve. Along with these they checked the normal day 3 bloods.
After the blood draw I went back to the room for my ultrasound. Nurse comes in and does her thing. First thing to note here is the GIFUCKINGNORMOUS cyst that is still hanging around my right ovary. She noted 1 other small follicle on this ovary but said that the cyst is taking up all the room for potential follicles. She switched to my other side to look for my left ovary. She stopped the probe and asked me if I have painful periods. I told her no and she said she asked bc she can see endo on my left ovary. She notated it and pointed it out to me. I'm assuming that this endo is what is causing the blockage in my left tube. She was able to find 2-3 small follicles on this ovary.
A person my age should have 15-20 follicles growing on day 3. I didn't even have 5. This is a typical characteristic of diminished ovarian reserve but I will save all of that for if my AMH results come back bad.
The nurse also informed me before I left that my MRI came back clean. No tumor!
I basically went home bummed knowing this month is another bust and that hopefully the doctor will have a suggestion when we meet with her. I'm very sure that the discussion is going to mainly focus on IVF at this point.
A few hours later my phone rings. Doctors office. I answered it and its a nurse from the office. She told me that my day 3 labs aren't consistent with where I am in my cycle. I am actually only day 2 today but thats fine. She said my e2 levels were elevated. I told her they usually are a bit elevated and asked her what this months number was. She told me it was 659. Ummm...normal e2 levels shouldn't exceed 75. She said based on my numbers I should be ovulating soon. WHAT? I just got my period yesterday. Whatever. When I look up high e2 levels it says that its usually due to a functioning cyst or diminished ovarian reserve. I have no idea which of the two is causing mine.
So I get to go back on Monday and give them more blood. Yay. NOT. I didn't think today's appointment would be all rainbows and butterflies but I never expected this sort of clusterfuckery to be going on. I'm over it all.
Also, a couple people have asked if we were doing a fundraiser to raise money to help offset the cost of IVF. I wasn't going to bother bc it's no one's problem or responsibility to bear the financial burden of IVF besides Mike and I but I gave in and made a GoFundMe site. I won't be asking for money but if you feel so inclined as to donate the button is on the upper right side of my blog.
Also, selling off all Nate's stuff is such a PITA. My attic threw up all over my living room...lol. Need to sell more stuff!

I'm so, so sorry your body is out of whack. I'm following your story!
