Today I was inspired to clean. Shocking, I know! There was so much talk about scrubbing pots and pans I felt the need to join the party. Oh and for the record, there will be no discussing the awful, 80s inspired, faux wood counter tops. I swear this things make me cringe. There have been, and will be talks about getting rid of the counters. Until then, gawk in my cleanliness!

I decided to give Nate some condiments with his food he was refusing to eat. Clearly, this was a bad idea. I'm pretty sure I am still finding ketchup and mustard in places....and that is after a bath! Condiments=1 Mom=0

Another weekend has come and gone. Today was a pretty relaxing day. A few side home projects here and there. Nate must have had a blast with his aunt and uncle yesterday since he has only been awake for a couple hours total so far today. Such a tired guy. It also must be all those steps he is taking. Totally wearing him out. Today's pic is a cell phone pic as well. I took the pic to send to a friend on my phone but the pic is so pretty I didn't even want to bother getting out my big camera.

What a beautiful day for a wedding! Today Kelly and James get married and Mike and I have about 7 hours without a baby. Nate was watched my Aunt Jacquie, Uncle Marty and Alexis. He seemed to have a great time and did so well with them. The wedding was beautiful. Outdoor wedding, lots of food and beer and great company.

What a beautiful day for a wedding! Today Kelly and James get married and Mike and I have about 7 hours without a baby. Nate was watched my Aunt Jacquie, Uncle Marty and Alexis. Another Friday! How nice! I got Nate dressed so we could go back to the doc today. They needed to look at his PPD test to give us the all clear. Everything looked good so we ran a couple errands and met Mike for lunch. What a nice, relaxing, carefree Friday!!

So, on a good note, today I remembered to pick my mom up from work. ::insert applause here:: We went out shopping for some last minute accessories for a wedding we are attending this weekend. And, if by accessories, you mean accidentally buying a second dress to wear to said wedding, then I accomplished that as well. Yup, I bought  dress a couple weeks ago to wear, then happened to find another one today. You should have seen Mike's face when I walked in the house with a dress bag today. Oops.

So, at Nate's doctors appt it was discussed that Nate seems to have some sensory issues with textures...both touching and eating them. We made a plan to try and help him over these "fears" and today was day one of this plan. For lunch Nate was given shredded chicken, macaroni, hamburger and Cheerios. He promptly ate all the Cheerios and left EVERYTHING else on his plate. For dinner we decided on pizza. Nate will eat anything that is dry and that includes pizza crust. So in the freezer we went to find a pizza to make Nate. Surprisingly, he *loved* it. Now, I don't know how much of his eating was because he liked it or because it was so gosh darn hungry that he would have eaten anything at that point. Whatever the reason we have found one food other than purees that Nate will eat.

How gorgeous is this weather?!?! If I could have today's weather every day I would be one happy woman! Mike and I enjoyed sitting around and recuperating from yesterdays festivities. We also spent a bit of time enjoying this weather and Mike did some pruning of my plants (which desperately needed it). He even picked me a pretty flower. Awwww! I can honestly say that I have learned so much from my husband the past couple days and it has made me love him in ways I didn't know existed. My family truly is exceptional and I would not change a thing. OK, enough of the sappy stuff, right? Onto the pic of my pretty flower!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY NATHAN!!!!!!

Nathan had a fantastic 1st birthday and 1st birthday party. We had lots of people come and go throughout the day and we partied late into the night. Ok, so it wasn't late for me, but 8:00 sure is late for Nate. As expected, Nate hated every bit of his cake but I knew that would happen since he doesn't like to touch anything that feels funny to him. Nate played with lots of friends, new and old and totally wore himself out. Then, we celebrated all the dads in our lives with a bushel of crabs and beer. Best.day.ever!!!

So, Tuesdays are one of my favorite tv show days. 8:00 is usually One Tree Hill which is done for the season so we are watching reruns of NCIS that I missed earlier this season. Then at 9:00 is Deadliest Catch. Cue the intro: ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding Dead or Alive! Then at 10:00 its my favorite teenagers who got pregnant whether that be 16 and Pregnant or Teen Mom 1 and 2. I can say I'm pretty, really freakin, stoked about Teen Mom coming back on in July!!! I'm a sucker for train wreck tv shows. Bet you can't wait until I start blogging about Jersey Shore, huh? I've got some pretty intellectual things to say about them!!

Day #2 of super duper angry, cranky, fussy, crying baby. I wish I knew what was wrong. I can speculate as to what is really bothering him but because he can't tell me its all a guessing game. I'm going to make a good guess and say that because his back bottom gum where his molar will be is swollen and red, that is a lot of his problem. Poor guy! I hope he cheers up before his big day on Sunday. Oh crap, his birthday is Sunday. AHHHH!

I can't wait to share his special day with everyone coming. I know its Father's Day and I appreciate everyone who is stopping by even for a bit. Gah, this time last year I was counting down the days until my last day of work, my feet were so swollen it was ridiculous and it was so hot I was the most miserable thing on the planet. One year later and it was all worth it and I have already forgotten about all of the bad things I went through. 7 more days!!!
Oh and a valuable lesson I learned today....
Even if you scrub your floors clean, my son will crawl on them and still get dirty. =)

So, I have come to the realization that I have a lot of stuff laying around that I no longer have a use or need for. Many years ago I had a fascination with makeup, MAC in particular. I bought hundreds of dollars worth of the makeup. A lot of this makeup never got used so I recently put it up on ebay and holy moly!...some of this stuff is worth 2-3 times what I bought for it. Makeup! Who knew?

This is all hypothetical, of course, and did not happen to Nate when we visited a friend yesterday. And for your viewing pleasure, my air conditioner as a block of ice which sent the temperature in my house into the 90s yesterday. Did I mention it was a bad day?

It took over an hour to upload to Facebook...so much so that I didn't even think it worked and I downloaded it to my desktop.
