Yea, nothing much to write about today. Sorry for the boring reading material. I'm all tapped out of my creativeness...and I will blame it in Mike watching Seinfeld in the other room. Yea, that's it.

Day 242

So, would you even believe me if I told you that my entire family dresses alike and no one even noticed it?! I dressed Nate early in the day in blue wool shorts and a black t-shirt. I ended up taking the shirt off for most of the day since he eats without a shirt on and I just never put it back on him. Then I put him down for a nap and got myself dressed in my blue pants and black shirt. We go through our day, I get Nate back into his shirt and we go pick my mom up. We get back to my house to get Mike and Mike is dressed in blue shorts and a dark navy top. Still, none of us realize we match. We get to my moms house and Nate is walking with Mike and I comment on how cute it is that they match. Mike turns around and looks at me and states that I am dressed just the same. We just about pissed ourselves laughing and how ridiculous we look all dressed alike. Oh and please excuse the dirty mirror. I, obviously, was not expecting to be taking a family pic in it.

How cute are these monster feet?! It is actually cool enough to break out the fall pajamas for the dude since it is down right, dare I say it, chilly in the mornings. I have to admit, I am craving some sweats, my crockpot and a football game on the tv. But nothing else and def not sub-zero temperatures and snow. That all can stay far far far away.

Day 240

I lived to make another blog. So as rough as last night was (since we were in a tornado watch until 5am) the day is new, the rain is stopping and I am determined to have a good day. Good thing we were invited to dinner at a friends house. Chips, salsa, crackers, cheese, hummus, chili, cornbread, margaritas, beer, and a brownie later I can say I am satisfied and FULL!

Yea so Irene def made an appearance here. I don't mind the rain, I don't mind the wind...but I do mind when they happen at night and cause tornadoes to pop up. Now, if you know me you are probably thinking why would I be so worried about tornadoes since I am extremely fascinated by them. Well, it's the fact that we were in the middle of a hurricane, it was pitch black out and pretty late at night. Yea, not cool...at all.

Yea, I was the crazy one out picking up some last minute items before 8am. All I can say is at least I was able to get everything I needed bc by nightfall shit got crazy and shelves were bare.

I will admit I have been glued to the weather channel ALL.DAY.LONG. Mike had run out last night and picked up a few essentials that we needed and I am running out EARLY tomorrow morning to pick up some more. Oh, and we stopped at the liquor store to pick up our much needed hurricane booze. This storm looks nasty and I cannot believe we are going to be in the brunt of it. Actually, our rental home for EXACTLY one month from now is right in the brunt of it in Cape Hatteras. Yea, I can't say that I'm not worried about the house because I have a feeling we won't have a house to go to next month...or much of one at least. I hope that the damage everywhere is minimal (one can dream right) and that everyone listens to the warnings and prepares.

First an earthquake and now a hurricane?! Yuck! I am definitely not looking forward to this storm this weekend. Damnit, I was supposed to be enjoying some crabs outside with a cold beverage of choice enjoying one of the few days of summer left. Womp womp!

So, for the record, I just want to say that the thought of an earthquake never once came to my mind as I sat outside reading Game of Thrones on our swing. I noticed that I was moving left to right as well as the gazebo and the stand I hang Nate's diapers on. I will admit I thought it was a huge gust of wind that had us all rocking. Yes, me, queen of natural disasters and all things weather related did not even think that we just had an earthquake. Oops.

This day was absolutely beautiful. Top 80 degrees, sunny with big white puffy clouds. Heaven. I turned the air conditioning off for the first time in a LONG time and it was so nice to feel the breezes coming through the windows. I, however, do not miss the neighbors dogs barking all day long while my air conditioning is running. You win some, you lose some. And for your viewing pleasure, Nin's bed head.

So, is it just me or does the laundry never end?!?! I mean, I understand I chose to cloth diaper Nate and I actually have no problem staying on top of those but I feel like there is no end in laundering clothes.

So, you know what is really cool?! When the Comcast guys calls and says he will be here at 1 so my hubby comes home from work. Then we sit and wait for that same Comcast guy to show up all afternoon and at 3:10 he calls and says he will be there in a couple minutes. Really dude?! GRRRR Whatever! At least I finally figured out a way to get Nate to eat fruits...dried fruit! Success!

What a gross rainy day!!! I went out to get Nate some fall/winter clothes and got caught in the massive downpours that happened. I can't complain, though, since all of BRU's clearance clothes were $5 and under. I, err, Nate scored big!

So, we have a family of bunnies that live under out shed. I blogged about them a couple months ago when Mike found like 3 or 4 of them while cutting the grass. So it's no surprise to see one of them in our yard throughout the day. I have been trained to look outside for one before letting the dog out (to which he would not actually catch one or hurt it but just in case). So I look out the door and I see this mofo! Say what?!?! Thats not my bun-bun!

There is nothing better than a summertime storm. I loved watching them in my front yard when I was little. I always knew what direction they came from. Lots of years later I find myself still looking outside waiting for the storms to roll in. Unfortunately, this storm was just a few clouds in the distance. Oh well, maybe next time.
